5 Things To Wrinkle Your Mind about Disney’s New Trailer

Disney has released a brand new mind-wrinkling trailer from its upcoming A Wrinkle In Time Movie. The second trailer reveals even more stunning scenery including some particularly mind-bending shots!

1. Plant beings!!

Mrs Who ( Mindy Kaling) is running alongside the cutest flower beings when the children are suddenly whisked away by a mesmerizing plant creature!!
Who is this?! We know that Mrs Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon) has the power to transform and that she does allow the children to use her as transportation when they reach the planet Uriel, but the book describes her as a centaur? Maybe this is their interpretation of a centaur and that’s what we get for being silly limited humans.

**Upon closer inspection, the gorgeous plant creature does bear a striking resemblance to Ms. Witherspoon. Time will tell!

2. Red Ball Scene

The synchronized red-ball scene from Planet Camazotz was utterly chilling. Though we were only given a glimpse, it left zero doubts that the all encompassing monotonous power of Camazotz will be greater than we could have imagined!

3. The Happy Medium

“Do I look like I’m kidding?….. I’m not… I’m not!”
Zach Galifianakis serves as a perfect imagining of “The Happy Medium” whose purpose is to help the children understand the gravity of their mission, while still allowing them the space to be children.

4.Red (FKA ’The Man with Red Eyes’)

Red (Michael Peña) is one of the main vessels of the film’s creepy antagonist. He is pictured with a whimsical beard, cool shades, and a vibrant tracksuit instead of the grey suit business from his ‘Man with Red Eyes’ days. What tricks will he employ to capture the mind of Charles Wallace in this iteration?

5. The Tesseract

Dr Kate Murray (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) and Meg (Storm Reid) employ ants on a string while giving Calvin (Levi Miller) a detailed explanation of the tesseract that makes everything so clear!

“Imagine that the ant here wants to get to her other hand.”
“Its quickest option is to walk across the string.”
“But it turns out a straight line is not the shortest distance between two points. …Not if you use a 5th dimension.”
“It’s outside of the rules we know of time and space.”
“So the ant arrives in my hand instantaneously!”

I guess I’ll be watching these trailers every day and trying to tesseract to March 8, 2018 when A Wrinkle In Time is in theatres!
