Tony Award winning actress Anika Noni Rose voices a special character in the upcoming episode of Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest.
Rose, who voiced Disney’s first Black princess in The Princess and the Frog, guest stars as T’Challa’s ancestor in the episode, also named after Rose’s character, called ‘Yemandi.’ In the episode, T’Challa discovers secrets about his ancestor. Turns out, Yemandi was the Black Panther centuries before and even went on adventures with a young Thor.
In the video (above) Rose talks about working in animation, what Yemandi thinks of Thor, and what it’s like to join the Marvel Universe.
The episode airs Sunday, January 20, at 9 pm ET on Disney XD.
