The illustrious Ava DuVernay under her non-profit ARRAY Alliance — presents a new annual film series to launch at the Amanda Theater in Historic Filipinotown.
ARRAY 360 brings together seminal award-winning filmmakers with exciting new artists for a six-week program of cinema and conversation at the ARRAY Creative Campus’ Amanda Theater in Historic Filipinotown from September 27th – November 2nd.
Array 360 marks the official completion of array creative campus and debut of Amanda Theater with a curated program celebrating global film perspectives.
The ARRAY 360 slate features a wide range of women filmmakers including Agnès Varda, Euzhan Palcy, Barbara Loden, Suzana Amaral, Kathleen Collins, Shirin Neshat, Garrett Bradley and Mati Diop, among others.
In addition, a weekend of marathon screenings devoted to the complete work of John Singleton, a showcase of Filipinx cinema from the neighborhood in which the theater is located, a conversation between Michael Mann and DuVernay, and a look at the work of bold, emerging cinematic voices complete the program.
