“Some women fear the fire, some women are the fire. Let Wonder Woman Empower the warrior in you to inspire strength, love and grace within yourself and others around.”
That was the message Luxie Beauty sent me along with their new brush set collaboration with the Wonder Woman movie. Let me tell you, the brushes are just as hardworking as the Amazons!
The Wonder Woman X Luxie Beauty features five sturdy makeup brushes, which are individually handcrafted with synthetic bristles and specifically designed to create a smooth and flawless canvas. The set includes a Flat Kabuki, a Beauty Buffer, an Angled Buffer, a Tapered Buffer and a Fan Brush. The handles are painted in bright Wonder Woman red so they’ll look great on your vanity!
I’ve always had a hodgepodge of brushes from different brands rather than a complete set, but I think I’ve been converted. I never had to fight with any of the brushes to blend my makeup.
I was especially impressed by the Flat Kabuki brush. My go-to foundation brush has always been the dense, rounded Bobbi Brown full coverage foundation brush, maybe it’s because it’s the first makeup brush I ever owned and my mom bought it for me. It has never let me down, but I think i’m ready to let it go for the Luxie brush. It worked amazingly well with my liquid foundation even though the bristles are sooo soft. I suspect this brush would be great for powder foundations as well.
The $95 set also comes with a sleek black case and a compact with the “W” logo.
Plenty of cosmetics brands do collaborations with movies these days, but sometimes it seems like the brands just stick their names on the product without really pushing to making it something great. Luxie Beauty is definitely not one of those brands.
The brush set is available for purchase now.
Now I just need Oprah to invite me to her next Wonder Woman party.
