Aftershow programming seems to be at an all-time high. The AMC Network, for instance, has frequently provided fans with aftershows for their more popular offerings. There’s The Talking Dead, Talking Preacher, and Talking Bad to name a few. We also have to mention Afterbuzz TV, the AfterShow network started by Maria Menounos. If you can watch it, chances are Afterbuzz has an aftershow for it.
Did you know that the makers of Dark Matter have their own aftershow? It’s surprisingly meaty, and unsurprisingly entertaining with guests from the cast every week. It’s hosted by Zoie Palmer who plays Android, and they are joined on the set by a geek media reporter. (I guess my invitation got lost in the mail.)
Interspersed with the couch chatting are BTS video segments where different departments from the show’s creative team talk about the work they do. Many of those segments are hosted by Anthony Lemke who plays Three. For some reason they inject canned studio audience reactions in the chat bits, which is odd but has grown on me somehow? I don’t know.
Check out the post premiere episode below for BTS insights. There is a new one uploaded each week.

BGN’s Senior Editor, Pitches: C R Sparrow wants desperately to throw off the shackles of wage slavery and live a life of leisure. Unfortunately, she hasn’t quite figured out how to turn her encyclopedic knowledge of Star Trek Deep Space Nine or deftness at playing Bioware RPGs on the easiest setting into a fortune. She’s still working on it though. Sci-fi/Fantasy blerd with a strong affinity for binging television shows and having lots of feelings about them.
