Doodle for Google Contest for Girls of Color

Submissions are now open for the 14th annual Doodle for Google contest. This year’s theme is “I care for myself by…” and students K-12 across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and U.S. Virgin Islands can submit their artwork to the contest through March 4. 

The winning artist will: 

  • See their work on the Google homepage for a day
  • Receive a $30,000 college scholarship 
  • And the winner’s school will receive a $50,000 technology grant. 

One of this year’s judges is Elyse Fox, the CEO of Sad Girls Club, a nonprofit committed to destigmatizing mental wellness for millennial and Gen Z women, girls and femmes of color. She’s also a member of the Rare Beauty Mental Health Council. Other judges include Selena Gomez and Juliana Urtubey, the 2021 National Teacher of the Year.
