Emily does all that she can to avoid Camille and Gabriel in the morning but gets a text from Camille for them to meet. We must discuss this with Mindy, who has her own issues with friends and bridesmaids from China to entertain. They don’t know she’s a nanny. She invites Emily to club with them tonight. That could be fun. Later we find out that Camille doesn’t know about Emily and Gabriel; she’s requesting Savoir to take her family’s champagne house as a client. Emily excitedly agrees to pitch the idea before asking questions. She’s invited to see the chateau in Champagne this weekend with Camille, just the two of them with the family. Team Savoir has reasonable questions regarding this small company, which turns into them discussing Emily and Gabriel. They are too comfortable with her personal life.
Li (Elizabeth Tan) has a bridal party that is so wild, Shay (Alice Hewkin), the bridesmaid, gets sick. It’s a little too wild for a chilled Emily and Mindy. Li points out that she knows nothing about Mindy’s life in Paris. The girl has spunk. Unfortunately, we don’t get to enjoy more because we are off to Camille’s family’s house and Gabriel is tagging along last minute. Guess who is riding in Gabriel’s lap in a drop top car? Camille is trying to hook Emily up with her brother, but Gabriel mentions that Camille’s mom, Louise (Camille Japy) doesn’t like outsiders. Those two are still griping over the money loan for the restaurant.
Immediately, Louise tells Gabriel he’ll need to go to the market, she didn’t get a chance to. Oh dear. Louise suggests Emily takes a tour of the vineyard and drags Camille to the office to discuss business. Emily checks out the pool without Gabriel and bumps in Gérard (Christophe Guybet), sans clothing, sun bathing. Gabriel is wrong for not warning her about Camille’s naked dad. He suggests that they should take a bike ride to the market, but Emily refuses to be near him. He wants to be friends, but Emily can’t handle it.
Touring Chateau De Lalisse proves to be fun as the tour guide is sweet on the eyes and happens to be Camille’s brother, Timothée (Victor Meutelet). He seems more of a better trade than Gabriel. Dinner is full of innuendo. Eggplants and coq are all prepared by Gabriel. If only Emily would stop being so extra and guilty. The discussion turns to Gabriel and his refusal to take the money from Louise. I’m honestly not sure why they are pushing the man. Let him live!
Mindy is surprised by Li, Shay, and her friends with an opportunity to sing on a stage. The girls know she’s not in business school and that she’s a nanny. They encourage her to follow her dreams and get on the stage. At first, Mindy is ready to get off stage but no one is letting her off. Then she finally belts it out. Mindy has a strong voice and leaves it all on the stage.
Her friends celebrate by popping and spraying champagne. Emily is enjoying the live streamed performance but is interrupted by Louise and Camille’s fighting. Emily is hiding out by the pool when Timothée comes along with a bottle and apology for the arguing. He points out that Emily ran away from her life, which Emily eventually recognizes to be true, but only because life was too predictable and she needed the change. I know the feeling, girl. Timothée gives Emily a lesson in coups and Emily returns the favor in bed.
Guess who woke up with a hickey? At breakfast, Camille introduces Emily to her brother Theo (David Prat), the one she was telling Emily about. You see, Timothée is seventeen and his big mouth pointed out how hard he bit Emily, in front of the whole family. I’m screaming in horror for Emily since she is in shock. Louise asks to speak with Emily, who wants to know if Timothée is a good lover for some odd reason. Apparently, the boy is useless in business just like Gerard; however, he’s good in bed like Gerard. He will marry well.
Louise is just about to send Emily away when Emily points out that she is here to discuss business. The chateau has a surplus, Emily’s resolution is to have champagne to drink and spray just like Mindy and her friends did the night before. Louise will consider it. Camille is cool with the mishap between the family. How nice.
Emily seems to get into more situations than any person I know. She needs to think before she acts. Or at least not drink so much. Mindy needs to take her leap and get on another stage.
