Sundance Winner ‘Night Comes On’ Coming Soon to Theaters

Night Comes On was the winner of the NEXT Innovator Award at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. It is an emotional and moving drama that follows a teenage girl with a rough past, Alice LaMere, who was just released from a Philadelphia juvenile detention center. The film follows the journey of Alice along with her younger sister, as she looks for her ex-con father and seeks revenge for the death of her mother.

The film is a directorial debut for Jordana Spiro, who also plays Rachel Garris in Netflix’s Ozark. Spiro co-wrote Night Comes On with Angelica Nwandu who is the founder of the popular Instagram-based media company The Shade Room.

The stars of Night Comes On are Dominque Fishback and Tatum Marilyn Hall. Fishback is an actress and playwright known for playing Darlene in HBO series, The Deuce, and Hall is a newcomer to the industry.

Night Comes On opens in theaters on August 3rd, 2018 in select cities including New York, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Atlanta and more. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think!
