She’s killing for the man every night and day. In a surprise drop, Buzzfeed posted the first poster for the upcoming Proud Mary film. Buzzfeed will also be dropping the first trailer on July 20th, exclusively sharing it with those excited for the film.
In April, Deadline reported that Henson will be playing Mary, who is “working for an organized crime family in Boston,” and who “is completely turned around when she meets a young boy whose path she crosses when a professional hit goes bad.” Danny Glover, Margaret Avery, Xander Berkeley, and others round out the cast for this film. In real life, Taraji is a badass so we are excited to see her bring that to the silver screen.
Proud Mary, directed by Babak Najafi, will be in theaters on January 12, 2018.
