Kayona launches the Tenth Letter Digital Book Club this summer!

First-time author, Kayona Ebony Brown, has heard her fair share of answers to the question: “Are women the new men?” in response to her novel, Tenth Letter. And on Thursday, August 07, 2014 she will hear even more from readers when she launches the Tenth Letter Digital Book club.

Tenth Letter is a provocative debut novel that evokes countless psychosocial, gender and relationship questions, and has been dubbed, “self-help fiction” by Washington, DC-based yogi, Sia Barnes. It depicts one woman’s journey to reconcile the events that have made her who she is as she begins the task of becoming who she ought to be.

“The complexity of this [story] is a step above others,” says literary reviewer, Real Page Turners.

The Tenth Letter Digital Book Club is a unique way for Kayona to build and interact with her audience, as she reads the book in episodes with them for 24 weeks (releasing two videos a week) via YouTube. And while supplies last, she is giving away free copies of the books via the Tenth Letter web site.

Tenth Letter is currently available in paperback, every major e-book outlet for all devices, and on Tuesday August 05, theaudio book will be available. Patrons who purchase via the web site, tenthletternovel.com, will receive a extras like a bookmark (for paperback) and a digital booklet for e-books and audiobooks, which features unique author commentary.

“The story and the characters make such a personal connection with readers,” says Kayona. “I figured it would be a great idea to give them a little more just to wet the palette in preparation for the sequel novel, One Word.”
