BGN interviews the cast and crew of the Searchlight Pictures film Chevalier.

Featured in the interviews are: Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges), Samara Weaving (Marie Josephine), Lucy Boynton (Marie Antoinette), Stephen Williams (director), and Stefani Robinson (writer).

The film is inspired by the incredible story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges (played by Harrison Jr. in a tour de force performance), the illegitimate son of an enslaved African woman and a French plantation owner, who rises to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, complete with an ill-fated love affair and a falling-out with Marie Antoinette (Boynton) and her court.

Interviewer: Stacey Yvonne

Video Editor: Jamie Broadnax

Chevalier opens in theaters April 21st.
