The Warner Bros Todd Phillips film Joker has finally released its first trailer.
Joaquin Phoenix plays the titular character and one thing the trailer does tell its viewer, is the this Joker is one we should empathize with. Perhaps, gone are the days when we see the Joker as this detached man from reality with egomaniacal behavior. Although this is just a teaser and we don’t know the full details of Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian who is driven insane and turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City, one thing is for certain this is new kind of Joker we haven’t quite experienced before.
And that laugh…oh that laugh.
Check out the trailer for yourself and let us know what you think.
Joker arrives in theaters October 4th.
