Last night’s Super Bowl meant the release of the new teaser trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. This morning we got the official trailer, courtesy of Good Morning America. Lucasfilm and Disney have kept quiet during production, making these the first real glimpses of the movie we’ve seen.
This trailer offers a few new scenes from last night’s trailer. Yes, we get to see Han as the rogue, living in the grayer side of society since he was a child. In the teaser, we saw that Han tried to join the Empire and this one revealed that he was kicked out. Now he has the chance to join Beckett’s (Woody Harrelson’s new character) crew. We get to see that partnership between Han and Chewie as they both agree to the join the crew. Most importantly, we get to see Han in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon being, as usual, an amazing though reckless pilot. And of course, Lando looks amazing. The trailer has a heist feeling similar to Rogue One with less altruistic inspirations.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25th, 2018. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Paul Bettany. Check out the Super Bowl teaser below.
