Coming this April 6th to Netflix is the classic story of the fall of Troy. Specifically, the city named show will begin not during the battle for Troy, but with the love story of Paris and Helen.
Netflix dropped the official trailer today. Being that The Iliad is one of my favorite classic stories, I am more than pumped to watch Troy: Fall of a City and watch how the famous city fell apart. Plus I’m a sucker for a good drama and star-crossed lovers tale.
The show also boasts a star-studded cast with Louis Hunter (The Fosters) and Bella Dayne (Humans) star as Paris and Helen. David Threlfall (Shameless) plays Paris’ father, King Priam of Troy; with Frances O’Connor (The Missing) as Hecuba, Queen of Troy; and Tom Weston-Jones (Copper) as their eldest son Hector.
Additional cast include Joseph Mawle (Game Of Thrones) as Odysseus; Chloe Pirrie (War & Peace) as Andromache; Johnny Harris (Jawbone) as Agamemnon; David Gyasi ( Interstellar) as Achilles; and Jonas Armstrong (Ripper Street) as Menelaus, the King of Sparta whose marriage to Helen is destroyed when Paris arrives in his city.
