The documentary film Unbanned The Legend of AJ1, explores the controversy around the birth of the iconic Air Jordan 1, the creation of the sneaker craze, and its connection with pop culture and sociopolitical issues.

BGN journalist Jeandra Lebeauf covered the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of the documentary and interviewed director Dexton Deboree and producer Stef Fink as well as red carpet attendees Baka Boys, Michel Duval, Ben Baller, and Marcellus Wiley.
