Premiering in SXSW on March 9 is a highly anticipated film, Come as You Are from Meridian Entertainment in conjunction with The Black List and Chicago Media Angels. The film is about a group of men (played by Grant Rosenmeyer, Hayden Szeto, Ravi Patel) with disabilities who want to exercise their sexual freedom. So they embark on a road trip to a place in Montreal where sex workers who specialize in servicing the disabled are available to help the men.
Gabourey Sidibe plays the nurse who is also driving them to the brothel. In this clip, we get to see a bit of what to expect from her character. She pulls no punches and will not let the men off the hook because of their disabilities. Sidibe’s character is also not about all the nonsense as you can see.
Come as You Are debuts March 9 at SXSW. Stay tuned to BGN for more from Sidibe and a review of the film.
