During the half time show of tonight’s football game, Lucasfilm finally released the trailer for The Last Jedi. After months of closely examining the teaser trailer, we have new material to work from. With the movie set to release in December, they were definitely cutting it close. In case you’re wondering whether or not you want to stay spoiler free or watch the trailer, here is the advice that the director, Rian Johnson gave a fan:

I felt similarly torn but nothing short of a black out was going to stop me from watching this trailer. In the trailer we finally get to see Rey hand the lightsaber to Luke, a possible confrontation between Kylo Ren and Leia and Finn being a badass. What about that last scene?! Is Rey really talking to Kylo Ren? Let us know what you think of the trailer.
A new poster also dropped tonight.
Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels and Gwendoline Christie are all returning for the latest installment in the Skywalker saga. Newcomers Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro round out the cast. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in U.S. theaters on December 15.

When the trailer ended, all I could say to my spouse was, “Ohh…. that’s bad.” Maybe it’ll end up some story like with the old books in which Rey goes grey by gaining knowledge of the dark side or something, but…
Looks like Finn has been practicing with those melee weapons after his last attempt. That shot of Finn and Phasma 😀 😀 😀
