In case you missed it, the new Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer dropped in the dead of night. It’s as actiony, colorful, and quippy as all the rest have been. There isn’t an overabundance of story content, which is a good thing. Plenty of films spoil their entire plot in the trailer, greatly diminishing their desirability in my opinion.
There is one significant plot point that’s revealed, however. If anyone thought they’d drag out the “Who is Star-Lord’s dad?” thing, they can rest assured that by the end of this new trailer the question is answered –somewhat. If you haven’t been following the GotG2 news in an effort to stay as fresh as possible, I won’t spoil it for you, but you can find information about this very unique character easy enough online.
The trailer really strikes a Mutant Enemy-esque chord with the crayola fun house alien makeup and the nonstop wisecracking. Maybe they should’ve given Joss Whedon this arm of the franchise to run instead of inflicting Ultron on us. …. Anywho, I’m looking forward to checking this out on May 5th, 2017.
