The Avengers: Infinity War trailer has dropped and we cannot begin to tell you how much we love this movie already just based on this first trailer. Marvel fashion will be the first of many trailers to come, so just be prepared to have more of those edges snatched.
Thanos
Avengers: Infinity War brings us our first major supervillain in Marvel comics the all-powerful and omnipotent Thanos played by actor Josh Brolin. The space aircraft that Thor used to escape in Thor: Ragnarok is owned by Thanos. Which ties post-Ragnarok and Infinity War together seamlessly.
The Dora Milaje
Yaaaas! We are LIVING right now! We have some Black women in an Avengers movie! The Dora Milaje has taken a trip away from Wakanda and has accommodated T’Challa as his protective guard as during his visit. While Nakia is noticeably absent, we do see Okoye next to her king. One can assume that Nakia either was killed off in Black Panther or she went rogue and joined forces with Killmonger, which happened in comic book canon during the Priest run of Black Panther.
That Infinity Gauntlet Tho!
It’s about the infinity stones baby! The infinity gauntlet is designed to hold six of the stones (or gems). When used as a collective, the stones give Thanos extraordinary powers, so obviously he’s on a mission to get every single one of them! Let’s remember, Vision carries the Mind infinity stone on his forehead, the Space stone was last seen taken by Thor back to Asgard, the Reality stone is in the Collector’s vast collection, the Power stone is claimed by the Nova Corps on Xandar, Doctor Strange owns the Time stone in the eye of Agamotto, and the Soul stone has yet to be revealed.
Bearded Cap
Steve Rogers has a mountain man beard and I’m here for this. Cap’s been through some thangs. In Civil War, we found out Steve knew that HYDRA killed Tony’s parents and Stark resented him for it, he lost Peggy Carter and his BFF Bucky is on ice. So is this stress beard? Is this is his way of dealing with his depression? I’m with it. It’s a good look for him.
The Spider-Sense is Back!
Peter’s spider-sense was notably absent from Spider-man: Homecoming. Here we finally get to see it in action, warning him of the immanent danger that’s about to hit the city. We also get to see him in his new and improved suit. Let’s see how it holds up against Thanos.
An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.
