Earlier today, director Jordan Peele of the impending horror film Us, leaked his own trailer on Reddit. Fans (particularly those on Reddit) were in a feeding frenzy over the clip and was surprised to see it leaked on Reddit of all places. As the game time starts soon, fans have already had a chance to see a clip of the second trailer.
Most of the scenes repurposed in this trailer are ones we have seen before, however, one additional clip that we have not seen that has everyone talking is this show below:
It may be a bit hard to notice, but the clip features the biblical passage Jeremiah 11:11.
The scripture in the Old Testament says the following:
Therefore thus says the LORD: “Behold, I will surely bring calamity on them which they will not be able to escape; and though they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.”
A pretty ominous passage and perhaps will give more context about the fate of the Wilson family in Us.
Us follows the story of the Wilson family. Accompanied by her husband, son, and daughter, Adelaide Wilson returns to the beachfront home where she grew up as a child. Haunted by a traumatic experience from the past, Adelaide grows increasingly concerned that something bad is going to happen to her family. Her worst fears soon become a reality when four masked strangers descend upon the house, forcing the Wilsons into a fight for survival. When the masks come off, each stranger takes the appearance of a different family member.
Us is due for release by Universal Pictures on March 22, 2019.
