Leonardo Faierman is the senior film editor at Black Girl…
It’s been over 20 years since Tupac Shakur was killed in Las Vegas. Since then, the ways in which the fallen icon has been honored span the spectrum of music, essay, art, and film, yet he has not yet been the subject of a proper biopic. Closing out the spring of 2017, the upcoming film All Eyez On Me will tell Tupac’s story, and feature newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. in the leading role along with The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira as Afeni Shakur.
ALL EYEZ ON ME opens in theaters on June 16, 2017
