HBO is going to take the media by storm with Terence Nance’s Random Acts of Flyness. This series is one like no other. Artist Terence Nance has pulled in the most outstanding pieces of our societal norms and framed them in this masterpiece of a series. The artist strips away the fluff of everyday nature and casts them in a new light that is bound to get some attention.

It is described as, “fluid, stream-of-conscious response to the contemporary American mediascape, each episode of Random Acts of Flyness features a handful of interconnected vignettes, showcasing an ensemble cast of emerging and established talent. The show is a mix of vérité documentary, musical performances, surrealist melodrama and humorous animation.”

Random Acts of Flyness premieres August 3rd (midnight-12:30 ET/PT) on HBO. Also streaming August 3rd on HBO NOW, HBO Go, and HBO On Demand, as well as some partners’ platforms.

Random Acts of Flyness is introduced by Nance as “a show about the beauty and ugliness of contemporary American life.” The premiere episode features a run in with the NYPD which segues into the realities of police brutality. Basically, this series is going to be an epic wake-up call to America or at the very least an eye-opener. Much like many of the new bold activism series, this is one we can’t afford to miss!
