The Star Wars Adventures mini sampler disappeared very quickly from the IDW booth at SDCC.
This mini sampler has a story by Landry Q. Walker, who is known for his series of short stories featuring the aliens of The Force Awakens. The story stars R2-D2 and C-3PO and focuses on them sharing stories with the readers.
Derek Charm has art duties on this preview, and his art showcases numerous characters from across the Star Wars universe. There are hints of stories featuring Anakin and Luke Skywalker, Finn during his Stormtrooper days, Asajj Ventress, Leia, Padme and of course Rey!
In the SDCC publishing panel, IDW representatives stressed how important it is that there be Star Wars stories for young children. Though adults will be drawn to this series because of new adventures with their favorite characters, children will love the fun and adventure from the various stories.
This little taste of the book to come makes me excited for the first issue of the series in September.
