When she’s not busy saving the world one panel/cosplay/comic book…
Wes Anderson‘s Isle of Dogs tells the story of Atari Kobayashi, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.
Those who are fans of Wes’ work, Fantastic Mr. Fox, have long awaited his return to animation. Anderson has said that the film is strongly influenced by the films of Akira Kurosawa and the well-known stop-motion animated Rankin/Bass holiday specials.

A star-studded voice cast with the likes of Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Courtney B. Vance, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Edward Norton, Bryan Cranston, Liev Schreiber and Yoko Ono aligns with Wes superstar teams he has pulled together in past films.
With a scheduled release date of March 23rd, 2018, this is the first animated Fox Searchlight film since Waking Life in 2001.
When she’s not busy saving the world one panel/cosplay/comic book at a time, she is the social media curator for Black Girl Nerds. She doesn’t sleep between live tweets, convention appearances and podcast recordings. Human mom to a nerdy and rambunctious 8 year old, fur mommy to a dog and 2 cats, life is nuts. But she wouldn’t have any other way.
