When she’s not busy saving the world one panel/cosplay/comic book…
Fans have been waiting with bated breath for any news about the highly anticipated return of Young Justice.
Aptly titled, Young Justice: Outsiders, season 3 will have old favorites, like Static and some new faces. With the additions of Spoiler, Arrowette, and Artemis, season 3 is sure to explore so many more plot lines now that the show will run with 26 episodes instead of 13.
We got a chance to speak with the producers, Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti about the fan support that came after the cancellation of the show and the pressure to deliver in season 3.
BGN: “With the fan support that came after the cancellation, the petitions, and the online support do you feel a huge amount of pressure to please the people that backed this so vehemently?”
Greg: “ALWAYS. But we felt that from day one because we’re dealing with characters like Dick Grayson and Wally West. We’re carrying the weight of 75 years of DC comics. But Brandon, Phil and myself, we are making the show we want to see. We can’t worry about the fans, because if we’re not passionate about it, how can we expect fans to be passionate about it and love it.”
Brandon: “Oh yes! It’s huge pressure. Now we have to perform and deliver. It’s the DC Universe, there’s a huge fan base out there. We do what we can to go through the DC Universe, look at the characters and their stories, learn about what the fans like about them. We look for ways to the honor the characters and maybe in the process, find something new to bring to the project as well.”
Along with seeing the new line up, we also were treated to a look of the special ops team.
And last: returning characters from the original show! #YJ3 arrives in 2018. Thanks to all who came to the #YoungJustice panel! #DCSDCC pic.twitter.com/4NotE97Gl0

But she wouldn’t have any other way.
