Last year Cleverman exploded onto the scene using Aboriginal folklore as its engine, delivering political allegory with a strong current of family drama. If you remember, it ended on a pretty nerve-wracking cliff hanger. Watch this clip from the premiere and tune into Season 2 starting Wednesday,June 28th at 10 p.m.on the Sundance Channel.

The Season 2 Trailer evokes some intensely relevant themes such as theft of identity, genocide, and fascism. I’m ready to see these forces of evil come up against the primordial forces wielded by the Cleverman and the Harries. I’m also ready for Koen’s redemption and Waruu’s downfall.
