It is that time of year again—con season! Despite sounding like a season littered with spam emails promising to make you a millionaire within 12 hours, it is, in fact, a time where fans of comics, cartoons, anime, film/TV, gaming, gadgets, and toys come together to celebrate their love for these respective fields.
However, we do not attend merely to spectate.
Yes, one’s mouth may remain agape whilst watching the new animated DC film, SuperHero Girls: Intergalactic Games. Yes, one’s little hands did fiddle giddily awaiting to try out a new piece of VR gaming tech. But we, as a community, want to be a part of the worlds we have grown to love and the art of Cosplay allows us to transport ourselves into them.
