After teasing us during his “Love” music video, it was just announced that Kendrick Lamar and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith are set to curate and produce “Black Panther: The Album”
The album will feature music from and inspired by Marvel Studio’s Black Panther film including the lead single “All The Stars” by Kendrick and the always magical SZA.
Lamar and Top Dawg will collaborate with Director Ryan Coogler in the creation of music specific to the needs of the film. This is especially groundbreaking because it’s the first time in MCU history that Marvel Studios will integrate multiple original recordings created specifically for the film.
Coogler’s last film Creed had an amazing soundtrack that blended hip-hop with the traditional orchestral boom that the Rocky franchise is known for. With his track record and the undeniable talent of Lamar, this will be a soundtrack that you won’t stop listening to.
Black Panther hits theaters on February 16th, 2018.
