C R Sparrow wants desperately to throw off the shackles…
Siren is coming to Freeform in three days. BGN has been following the show since last year’s NYCC and we’re excited that it’s almost here! This BGN Exclusive Featurette breaks down what this show is and why folks should watch it.
From the gorgeously sweeping shots of Bristol Cove, a fictional northwestern town, to the description of Siren as a “dark, sexy thriller,” viewers can expect the unexpected. Watch Ian Verdun (Xander McClure), Alex Roe (Ben Pownall), Rena Owen (Helen Hawkins), and Eline Powell (Ryn) give you the rundown on this unique and refreshing take on mermaids.
Siren is based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive producers. Emily Whitesell (Finding Carter) is on board as showrunner and executive producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper, and RD Robb are also attached as executive producers.
A Mermaid Museum for a Siren Celebration
A unique show deserves a unique premiere celebration so over the weekend Freeform teamed up with PopSugar to create an immersive mermaid museum in the heart of Hollywood, open to the public for four days with unique photo installations, illusions, and a live mermaid. Following some of the environmental themes posed by the show, Freeform also made a donation to Heal the Bay to help keep Los Angeles’ coastal waters and watersheds safe, healthy and clean.

C R Sparrow wants desperately to throw off the shackles of wage slavery and live a life of leisure. Unfortunately, she hasn’t quite figured out how to turn her encyclopedic knowledge of Star Trek Deep Space Nine or deftness at playing Bioware RPGs on the easiest setting into a fortune. She’s still working on it though. Sci-fi/Fantasy blerd with a strong affinity for binging television shows and having lots of feelings about them.
