The wait is over, Wastelanders! Fallout Season 2 has officially dropped its first trailer, and it’s a big one. Fans finally get their first look at Justin Theroux stepping into the role of Robert House, the legendary video game character who rules over the neon-drenched streets of New Vegas. And if that wasn’t enough, the trailer also unleashes a ferocious Deathclaw, ready to rip through the desert ruins as it comes face-to-face with Walton Goggins’ Ghoul and Ella Purnell’s Lucy.

Robert House only popped up in a quick flashback during Season 1, but this time he’s front and center, and Theroux looks like he’s ready to leave his mark. In Fallout: New Vegas, House is the mastermind who kept the city alive after the bombs fell, secretly orchestrating a nuclear strike alongside other corporate power players to ensure Vault-Tec’s future. Using his insider knowledge, House fortified New Vegas against total destruction, then put himself into stasis to one day rise again and rule the Strip more than a century later.

With House making his grand debut and a Deathclaw tearing through New Vegas, Season 2 is already shaping up to be bigger, bolder, and bloodier than ever.

According to the official logline, the new season picks up right where Season 1’s epic finale left off, plunging fans deeper into the Mojave wasteland and straight into the neon-lit chaos of post-apocalyptic New Vegas.

The returning cast features Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Frances Turner. Season 2 picks up with Lucy (Purnell) reeling from her father’s betrayal and setting out to track him down, while the Ghoul (Goggins) continues his relentless hunt for the family he lost in the nuclear blasts. Their separate quests lead straight to New Vegas, where dangerous new alliances and brutal enemies await.

The trailer also teases flashbacks of Goggins’ Cooper Howard, before he became the Ghoul, alongside Robert House, pulling back the curtain on the chilling truth of who really dropped the bombs that shattered the world.
Fallout Season 2 officially hits Prime Video on Dec. 17, with new episodes dropping weekly until the explosive finale on Feb. 4.
