Filmmaker Stella Meghie best known for her work in films such as The Photograph and The Weekend, is now slated to direct episodes of Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man according to Deadline.
In their report they state: “It is unknown how many episodes she will direct but it is believed to be multiple episodes for the series. Daniel Destin Cretton will direct multiple episodes as well with Andrew Guest serving as head writer. Cretton will also exec produce with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige overseeing the project for the studio”.
Meghie is also producing Tiana, a new live-action series for Disney+ revolving around the character from the classic Disney animated pic The Princess and the Frog.
Actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will play the titular character . The Marvel hero first appeared in 1964’s issue of Avengers #9. The recently announced Wonder Man series will likely start filming sometime in early 2023, so it’s safe to assume that it won’t be hitting our screens until 2024.
