Marvel Studios brought the heat to D23, giving fans plenty to geek out over with first looks at some of the studio’s biggest upcoming projects—including VisionQuest, Avengers: Doomsday, the next X-Men film, and Marvel’s Wolverine.
The showcase kicked off with none other than the Vision himself. Paul Bettany (Avengers: Infinity War, Amadeus) took the stage alongside James Spader, reprising his role as Ultron, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to tease the first look at VisionQuest, the all-new Marvel Television series coming exclusively to Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
The series serves as the conclusion to the trilogy that began with 2021’s groundbreaking, Emmy-winning WandaVision and continued with 2024’s Agatha All Along.
In VisionQuest, Vision has been rebooted and is on the run after escaping those who sought to weaponize him. Now in hiding and searching for a new sense of purpose, he turns to the AI personas embedded within his programming—including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and, of course, the infamous Ultron.
But Vision’s quiet existence doesn’t last long. After a bounty is placed on his head, he finds himself on the run alongside Thomas Shepard, a mysterious young boy who may actually be Vision’s son reincarnated.
As Vision attempts to evade those hunting him, he’ll have to confront his own nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and uncover the truth behind his enigmatic young companion.
VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, with Emily Hampshire and James D’Arcy.
The series is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, and Terry Matalas, with Matalas, Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti, and Matthew Okumura serving as writers. Matalas created the series for television, based on the Marvel Comics.
Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Terry Matalas, Jac Schaeffer, and Christopher J. Byrne, with Roopesh Parekh serving as producer.

Avengers Assemble for Avengers: Doomsday
With anticipation building for Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel Studios gave fans another major surprise.
Kevin Feige was joined onstage by Academy Award winner Robert Downey Jr., who returns to the MCU in the role of Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom, alongside Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter.
The trio unveiled a special look at the highly anticipated film, which is now available to the public, along with a brand-new poster. And yes, tickets are officially on sale.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday brings together beloved heroes from three distinct universes as they find themselves on a deadly collision course with an existential threat unlike anything they’ve faced before.
The film features an absolutely stacked cast, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Hayley Atwell, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, Mabel Cadena, and Tenoch Huerta Mejia.

The X-Men Are Coming
Marvel Studios saved another major reveal for the end of the showcase, with Feige joined by Sadie Sink, who makes her debut as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and director Jake Schreier, who previously helmed Thunderbolts.
The trio then welcomed Sink’s new X-Men castmates to the stage, officially putting some major names behind several of Marvel’s most iconic mutants.
The new cast includes:
- Kit Connor (Heartstopper) as Scott Summers/Cyclops
- Christopher Abbott (Catch-22) as Professor Charles Xavier
- Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Emma Frost
- Inde Navarrette (Obsession) as Rogue
- Maya Boyd (& Juliet) as Storm
And there’s more. In a special video message, Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) revealed that he will play Nathaniel Milbury.
While Marvel has yet to reveal the official title, the untitled X-Men film is slated to hit theaters exclusively on May 5, 2028.
For longtime X-Men fans, this is a particularly exciting development. Marvel Studios is finally assembling its mutant team for the MCU, and with a cast this intriguing, the pressure—and expectations—are officially on.
Wolverine Gets Ready to Snikt
Marvel Studios’ showcase also delivered a new look at one of the most anticipated Marvel games currently in development.
Insomniac Games, in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, debuted a brand-new trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine.
The game puts everyone’s favorite clawed mutant front and center in an original adventure built specifically for PlayStation 5.
Marvel’s Wolverine arrives on PS5 September 15.
