At San Diego Comic‑Con 2025, the only DC-focused spotlight in Hall H went to Peacemaker season 2, delivering a bold mix of dimension-hopping stories, fan-favorite characters, and a confident redefinition of James Gunn’s DCU vision.
Fans were treated to exclusive clips from Season 2, including dimension-jumping scenes where Cena’s Peacemaker finds himself in alternate versions of his identity, sometimes cooler, sometimes more absurd. John Cena, embodying the evolving Peacemaker, presented a version of the character more reflective and confident —still flawed, but embracing change.
James Gunn received a standing ovation from the crowd for the recent success of his film Superman, currently tracking to earn half billion at the box office globally. This panel demonstrated that Peacemaker season 2 isn’t just another superhero sequel. It’s a declaration: DC’s new era is inclusive, unpredictable, and proudly outsider.
Get ready to root, laugh, rage, and reflect. Peacemaker is back, bolder than ever, and this Hall H spotlight showed us exactly why.
