During Star Wars Celebration in Europe, the new series The Acolyte has been a well-kept secret for some time now. And although filming for the series has completed and the release date is scheduled to be sometime in 2024, there’s not much the cast or crew can say about the show. What we do know so far is that it is set at the end of the High Republic era, before the events of the main Star Wars films. In fact, it takes place 100 years before the timeline of the prequels.
The series stars Amandla Stenberg, who plays a former Padawan.
Lee Jung-jae is a Jedi Master.
Manny Jacinto is in it, but we still don’t quite know who he plays just yet.
Dafne Keen is a young Jedi.
Jodie Turner-Smith is a character who can use the force, but that’s all we know.
Charlie Barnett is a young Jedi.
Dean-Charles Chapman is a Jedi Knight.
Joonas Suotamo is a Wookiee Jedi Master and has previously played a Wookiee in the sequel trilogy films and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The series showrunner is Leslye Headland and its producer is Rayne Roberts. All the actors named above are featured in the interviews below.
